Section 1 — About Daily Ball

Daily Ball is a football knowledge game built around a daily shared Matchday challenge.

The format, question types, scoring rules and available features may evolve over time.

Section 2 — Official Daily Ball attempts

Daily Ball may restrict players to one official attempt for a particular Matchday.

Scores, question progress, use of VAR Review and completion status are determined by Daily Ball’s systems.

You must not intentionally attempt to:

• create duplicate official attempts
• circumvent attempt restrictions
• manipulate scores or rankings
• interfere with Daily Ball systems
• use scripts, bots or automated tools to obtain an unfair advantage
• exploit technical defects to alter a result

Daily Ball may disregard, correct or remove results where there is reasonable evidence of technical manipulation, abuse or a system error.

Section 3 — VAR Review and gameplay rules

Where the current Daily Ball experience includes VAR Review, the applicable gameplay interface determines when and how it operates.

Daily Ball may change gameplay mechanics, presentation formats, question structures or challenge rules as the product develops.

Changes will not normally alter already concluded official results.

Section 4 — Accounts

Some Daily Ball functionality may require an account.

You are responsible for:

• providing an email address you are authorised to use
• maintaining control of your email account and authentication codes
• keeping your account use lawful

You must not attempt to access another user’s account.

Section 5 — Usernames

If you choose a username, it must not:

• impersonate another person or organisation
• contain unlawful, abusive or seriously offensive material
• infringe another person’s rights
• be used to mislead other users

Daily Ball may require a username to be changed or may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

Section 6 — Leagues and social features

Daily Ball may allow players to create or join private, community or campaign leagues and to challenge other players.

League invitations and challenge links should be shared responsibly.

Daily Ball does not guarantee that leagues, rankings or social features will always remain available in their current form.

Section 7 — Football questions and accuracy

We aim to make Daily Ball questions accurate, clear and fairly graded.

Football records and statistics can occasionally contain source discrepancies, and mistakes can occur.

Where Daily Ball identifies a material question or scoring error, we may correct, withdraw or replace affected content and, where reasonably necessary, correct the related result.

Section 8 — Intellectual property

Daily Ball’s original software, branding, designs, question presentation, written material and other original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

You may use Daily Ball for personal, non-commercial gameplay and ordinary sharing functionality provided by the service.

You must not reproduce, scrape, republish or commercially exploit substantial portions of Daily Ball without permission.

Third-party names, clubs, competitions and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

References to them for football-trivia purposes do not imply endorsement or affiliation unless explicitly stated.

Section 9 — Availability

Daily Ball is provided as an evolving online service.

We may:

• maintain or update the service
• change features
• correct errors
• suspend access temporarily
• discontinue features or the service

We will aim to minimise unnecessary disruption but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Section 10 — Suspension and misuse

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary because of:

• suspected cheating or automated abuse
• security threats
• attempted unauthorised access
• harassment or misuse of social features
• material breach of these Terms

Section 11 — Prizes and promotions

Some leagues or campaigns may offer prizes.

Where they do, additional promotion-specific terms will apply.

Those specific terms will take precedence over these general Terms where they conflict.

Promotion-specific terms may include:

• eligibility
• campaign dates
• qualification requirements
• scoring
• tie handling
• prize details
• winner notification
• redemption rules
• expiry rules

Participating in ordinary Daily Ball gameplay does not automatically entitle a player to a prize unless a particular promotion expressly provides one.

Section 12 — Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

Subject to that, Daily Ball is not responsible for losses arising solely from:

• temporary service interruption
• loss of access caused by matters outside our reasonable control
• a user’s failure to maintain access to their email/account
• unofficial reliance on Daily Ball scores or rankings for financial decisions

Daily Ball is provided primarily as an entertainment service.

Section 13 — Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Daily Ball, legal requirements or the way the service operates.

Material changes will be made available through the website.

Section 14 — Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
